I come to the garden alone

I come to the garden alone

While the dew is still on the roses

And the voice I hear falling on my ear

The Son of God discloses.

And He walks with me,

and He talks with me,

And He tells me I am His own;

And the joy we share as we tarry there,

None other has ever known.

He speaks, and the sound of His voice,

Is so sweet the birds hush their singing,

And the melody that He gave to me

Within my heart is ringing.

I’d stay in the garden with Him

Though the night around me be falling,

But He bids me go;

through the voice of wo

His voice to me is calling.

Beautiful Flower

There was a beautiful flower
God sent to us on earth
It came one day when it rained
Such a beautiful flower,
who had much to gain
You see it was put in the garden of hope
Only special people see
A miracle from heaven, came to be.

It was unlike any other flower
that was made
For God, Himself picked it
and gave it all He gave
I was very lucky, when I found
this garden of hope
The beautiful flower was surrounded
by birds and butterflies.

I wanted it the most. I prayed
to God to let me have it
Yet I knew if I picked it
and broke the stem
This flower could not live.
So I made a mark so I could find it
And the beauty would never give in.

God spoke to me from
His Kingdom above
He loves me so much,
for I was made from His love
I reminded Him of the birds
and butterflies
He granted the wish, that I too
would have wings to fly.

A beautiful flower, in the garden
which God calls hope
I now can see it, my eyes
are open with deep love
I am not forgotten, when
you see a bird or butterfly
I will live in hearts,
for I have reached the sky.

A little peace of heaven

I want to take my time and walk within the garden Of springs beauty and tranquility Where God adds so many colors For my bless filled eyes to see
I want to smell the roses Gaze upon the morning glories, too As they glisten and sparkle like diamonds In the early morning dew
I want to plant my seeds And watch them sprout and grow So when others walk beside me They will see the love I’ve sowed
And as I pray in the garden My knees touch the soft and giving ground I thank God for all my blessings This little piece of Heaven… I’ve found
And if you wish to pluck a flower “Please do”, I always say “But, if you really like… You can have… a big bouquet”
When my hands can no longer work the soil When my planting days are through In all the joy this garden has given me I’ll happily pass it on... to you

God's Garden

The Lord God planted a garden

In the first white days of the world,
And He set there an angel warden
In a garment of light enfurled.

So near to the peace of Heaven,
That the hawk might nest with the wren,
For there in the cool of the even
God walked with the first of men.

And I dream that these garden-closes
With their shade and their sun-flecked sod
And their lilies and bowers of roses,
Were laid by the hand of God.

The kiss of the sun for pardon,
The song of the birds for mirth,--
One is nearer God's heart in a garden
Than anywhere else on earth.

For He broke it for us in a garden
Under the olive-trees
Where the angel of strength was the warden
And the soul of the world found ease.

God's Garden

God made a beatous garden With lovely flowers strown, But one straight, narrow pathway That was not overgrown. And to this beauteous garden He brought mankind to live, And said: "To you, my children, These lovely flowers I give. Prune ye my vines and fig trees, With care my flowerets tend, But keep the pathway open Your home is at the end."

Then came another master, Who did not love mankind, And planted on the pathway Gold flowers for them to find. And mankind saw the bright flowers, That, glitt'ring in the sun, Quite hid the thorns of av'rice That poison blood and bone; And far off many wandered, And when life's night came on, They still were seeking gold flowers, Lost, helpless and alone.

O, cease to heed the glamour That blinds your foolish eyes, Look upward to the glitter Of stars in God's clear skies. Their ways are pure and harmless And will not lead astray, Bid aid your erring footsteps To keep the narrow way. And when the sun shines brightly Tend flowers that God has given And keep the pathway open That leads you on to heaven.

FLOWER'S OF GOD'S GARDEN

We are the flowers of God's garden
with stems, roots and seeds
Our soil deep in the earth
is food for our needs
Now we've been planted
We are a beauty of God's gift
As he protects his garden
and sends rain to give us a lift
The sun shines down from high
opening up our bloom
Then God blankets us from destruction
in a world full of doom
Our thorns grow strong and prickly
as a hard cover of sin
But God begins to pick those thorns
to shed us of our sins
We once were just a seed
that sprouted up with time
We have now become God's flower
and faith in us you will find
Our seed has been planted
Our faith we must find
with hopes of a great future
in God we seek to find
Our root is our soul
planted deep into the earth
we search among the soil
to show others their worth
Our stem is our body
the temple of the Lord
as we sprout from the ground
God protects us from the swarm
As the thorns began to emerge
that's full of sin and pain
God picks them one by one
To bring us happiness again
As the bud begins to bloom
from the love that he has shared
For he has always been a part of us
to free us from despair

In the garden of God

In the most beautiful of gardens,
most carefully tended, there is an
occasional rosebud that never opens.
in all respects that rose is like
all the others, but some unseen cause
keeps it from blooming.
It wilts and fades away without coming
to its radiant unfolding.

What happens in nature's garden
occasionally happens in God's family.
A baby is conceived, beautiful and precious,
but with some unseen, mysterious band
sealing that life so it never comes to
its rightful unfolding.

This child, too, like the bud that
never opens, gradually fades
and is gathered back into God's
heavenly garden of souls-where all
imperfections are made perfect.
Where all injustices are made right,
where all mysteries will finally
be explained, where all sorrows will
finally be turned to joy!
